The Food Council of Brown County is a council of community stakeholders who collaboratively act to create an economical, social, equitable, and environmentally sustainable local food system in Brown County, Wisconsin.

What We Do

The Food Council of Brown County is an initiative consisting of food and health businesses and organizations partnering to identify the entities in our working local food system and strengthen the relationships within it. We organize the stakeholders across our regional value-chain and strengthen the connections within the food system.

-We identify groups working on local food issues.

-We strengthen relationships among these groups.

-We impact policy related to a regional food system.

-We recognize that we work within a national & global food system.

Our Regional Food System

A food system is the journey your food takes to get from its source to your plate!

This includes: growing, processing, distribution, consumption and disposal
