NEW Food Forum is a New Leaf Foods initiative consisting of food and health businesses and organizations partnering to identify the entities in our working local food system and strengthen the relationships within it.
. . . the journey your food takes to get from its source to your plate, including: growing, processing, distribution, consumption and disposal.
. . . a formal statement and vision that gives a project direction and purpose for its future development.
A regional food action plan translates food system values into policy recommendations that support a fully integrated, just and healthy local food system economy, in which all entities have sustaining success.
. . . are defined in the food action plan by local food system stakeholders.
By defining regional food issues unique to Northeast Wisconsin, we can address shortfalls in existing local food policies and create good food policies together.
