garden mentors help new gardeners grow healthy fooD

Become a Garden Mentor

Are you an experienced gardener, ready to help a new gardener grow? Become a garden mentor! Mentors participate in a program orientation and then receive a mentoring guide filled with helpful handouts, tips, and a schedule of topics to cover. There's also room for flexibility and creativity. Sign up to be notified of orientation dates here.

The mentorship program is a program of the Brown County Community Gardens Program, and mentors complete paperwork to become official Brown County volunteers. Questions? Contact Community Garden Coordinator Margaret Franchino at (920)391-4660 or browncountycommunitygardens@gmail.com

Request a Garden Mentor

Are you a first-time gardener? Sign up for a volunteer garden mentor when you purchase your Blitz box to be paired with an experienced gardener and get the support you need to have a successful fist growing season. Mentors are community volunteers who meet at their assigned “mentee’s” garden five times (dates and times up to the mentorship pair) throughout the gardening season to provide guidance and build gardening confidence. Blitz customers can apply for a mentor here.
