Brief Description of SLO Custom CSA:
There are lots of benefits to having multiple farms and organizations involved in this CSA program:
•Overlap of products from multiple farms and support to farmers makes it more resilient.
•Convenience - home delivery and customization
•Connection to the local food economy - building the local food movement
Full Circle Community Farm is a regenerative Organic farm operating 300 acres of certified organic land 20 minutes outside of Green Bay. The farm is split with 20 acres of vegetables, 40 acres of woods, 40 acres of pastures for the pigs, and the rest devoted to regenerative rotational grazing with the beef cattle herd. We are working together with the SLO Farmers Cooperative to encourage and help young and beginning farmers have an equitable start and access to start their own farms without the same barriers to entry that disqualify so many from ever reaching for their dreams. Our goal is to help firmly establish a resilient local food system in Northeast Wisconsin through direct action and connections between farmers and eaters.
Full Circle Community Farm is planning for one on-farm event to be held on June 4th.
All of our vegetables, meat, and eggs are certified organic by MOSA and we are also part of the Real Organic Project, a grassroots movement amongst organic farmers across the US and Canada to hold the organic standard's principles to the highest standard and eliminate industrial Organic production from the mainstream.
Our CSA shares are fully customizable with all in-season veggies available to be added to your share and any veggies that you find undesirable can be removed at no extra cost.
We are also offering organic vegetable plant seedlings in a pre-buy on our website. Our goal is to encourage everyone to grow and nurture their own plants, not only to know what it takes to tend a garden but also to enjoy the satisfaction when growing your own food.
