New Leaf Foods, Inc. supports the health and well-being of the people of Greater Green Bay by promoting healthy food access and education, and by cooperating throughout Northeast Wisconsin to build a thriving local food system in a clean environment.

New Leaf Garden Blitz empowers residents to grow food and be part of a sustainable urban agricultural system.

The Victory Garden Initiative (VGI) in Milwaukee served as the inspiration for the New Leaf Garden Blitz, which was launched in 2014. Our own Garden Blitz venture in Green Bay was made possible in large part by VGI. They gave us instruction for the occasion as well as a model for a garden mentorship program to teach novice gardeners. Over 880 gardens have been established as part of the New Leaf Garden Blitz in the Green Bay region and with our neighborhood partner, Brown County Community Gardens, we have mentored over 120 new gardeners.

What is the Garden Blitz?

For $199, customers purchase a 8’L x 4’W x 10” high garden box which also includes delivery, installation, and soil. For use in homes, schools, churches, or businesses, purchasing one of our beds not only gets you access to a Brown County Community Gardens Garden Mentor, but also subsidizes the free gardens we install for the 18+ local schools and war veterans groups the New Leaf Garden Blitz supports.
